CareersPortal.co.za had a chat with the Head of Office for Engineering Studies at False Bay College, with regards to their different courses.

False Bay's Engineering NCV programmes are made available at two campuses: Westlake Campus and Khayelitsha Campus. These Engineering programmes are for a three-year period.

NCV Engineering Course Entry Requirements

These classes start off at NCV level two plus the least necessity would then be Grade nine certificate with a pass in Arithmetic.

As soon as the student finishes NCVLevel two, they'd then have attained a grade 10 certification. NCV Level 3 would be grade eleven and NCV Level 4 here is grade twelve.

NCV Level 4 is at the exit level, being comparable to a National here Senior Certificate (NSC).

Grade nine is on NQF level 1. Our NCV programmes start NCV stage 2 which happens to be equivalent to an NQF level 2.

On which kind of students are fitted to these programmes, they say that the world is acknowledging that classic education is not automatically the only strategy for starting to be an artisan or turning into capable so if a student knows from an early age what their passions are, the NCV programme is definitely perfectly suited to that student.
